| Circa 1925-1930; This is an antique Meissen porcelain Coffee Pot w/Lid decorated with the "Strewn Flowers" pattern (aka Scattered Flowers). Meticulously hand-painted petite clusters of floral design features periwinkle, tangerine, lime and violet flowers with green leaves dot this cheerful plate. This springtime pattern is completed with a gold band. This charming Coffee Pot is marked in blue underglaze with an "X" of crossed swords. It is in excellent condition. “Strewn Flowers” is one of the most traditional patterns of Meissen’s flower paintings, but is regarded as timeless. Small blossoms in soft pastel-like colors are strewn almost randomly onto the surface of the objects. As harbingers of spring “Strewn Flowers” are beyond any short-lived trend. | ||
