Sheffield Fruit & Nut Set In Box  19th C.
This complete 7 piece silverplate fruit and nut set comes in the original blue velvet lined presentation box, and dates to the 1800's. The seven pieces include 2 large berry spoons, 2 nut crackers, 2 nut picks, and a pair of grape shears. The spoons measure 9 1/4" long and have a beautifully decorated handle. They are marked on the back "J H P, S, EPNS, A1." The nut crackers measure 5 1/2" long, the nut picks are just under 4" long, and the grape shears measure 7" long. This set was made by J.H. Potter, who was a silversmith in Sheffield England. Great set in great condition!!
