Royal Copenhagen figural centerpiece/compote
This beautiful Royal Copenhagen blue fluted half lace compote/centerpiece dates to the late 19th century. The two pieces were purchased together in Europe in the 1930's. The top bowl's mark dates to 1923 and the figural base bears the mark for 1898. The piece measures 15 1/2 inches high and 11 inches wide and is distinguished by three children supporting the first bowl while the larger top piece rests perfectly on the first bowl. Considering the age, this compote is in good condition, but there are two small chips on the base. The two chips (one is 1/4" by 3/16", and the other is 1/8" by 1/8") are at the top edge of the base's bowl, (the larger can be seen in the picture of the figural base by itself). Neither of the chips are very noticeable. This is a fabulous piece of porcelain and would look elegant in any room! Email or call with any questions or for shipping quotes.
