This golden bronze, on a marble base, by Robert Bousquet is a fine example of his work. Bousquet was born in 1894 and died in 1917 at the age of 23.His work was exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1912-1914. This particular bronze depicts two dogs one in an upright form and the other in a resting form. The dog standing measures 13 1/2 in. at its tallest point and 19 1/4 in. at its widest point. Signed W.R. Thrasher oil on canvas of the Texas Hill country. This is a great piece by W.R. Thrasher (1908-1997) of the Texas hill country. Unframed this piece measures 19.5" x 15.5" and 28" x 24" framed. This piece is in excellent condition, signed on the lower left hand corner, and is mounted in a beautiful gold custom carved wood frame.
