This signed A. C. Howland (Alfred Cornelius 1838-1909) oil on board measures 12" by 6" and depicts a rugged New England landscape in earthy green and brown tones. Howland was a talented artist and committed to the Barbizon style of painting. The signature is clear and the painting is in good condition.
