This Margot de Taxco set is sterling silver and white enamel with flecks of silver. The brooch measures 1 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" long. The earrings are screwbacks and measure 1" long by 3/4" wide. The brooch is marked "Margot de Taxco, 5744, eagle mark 16, sterling." The earrings are marked "Margot de Taxco, 5744".
This is a Frederick Davis gilt over silver necklace. It was produced in Taxco, Mexico, and dates to the 1930's. It is shown in the book "Mexican Silver" by Morrill & Berk on page 27. It is marked on the back "Made In Mexico", Fred Davis' "FD" mark, and "Silver."
