This purse is a perfect example of a beaded scenic bag made in Austria in the mid 1800's. The bag has great detail and a variety of colors. The purse measures approximately 10 1/2" long, from hte frame to the bottom of the fringe, by 6 3/4" wide. It features an embossed frame with a plunger and pull closure, and faux pearls with swan accents on the frame. This Whiting & Davis Piccadilly fine soldered mesh bag dates to the early 1920's. The purse has an adjustable wrist strap, a tiny mirror, and a great little compartment for lip rouge or face powder. It also features a sapphire colored glass closure on the beautifully embossed frame. The rouge compartment is opened by the pull tag just under the opening compartment, and it can also be opened from the inside.
